Most Anticipated Books 2022

As I’ve done for the past years, I wanted to end my year with a positive look ahead, and what better way to do that than to discuss some of my most anticipated new releases on the horizon for 2022. There’s something magical to the anticipation and unfulfilled promise of an unreleased book that brings me almost as much joy as reading a book itself does, so I love my time browsing Goodreads list and publishers catalogues to see what’s in the pipeline. Although I keep track of new releases year-round on my Anticipated page, I also like to highlight my top 10 here. This year’s top 10 looks to be a strong one, featuring mainly books by authors I’ve read and loved before, and a few ARC’s I’ve already had the pleasure of sampling. Without any further ado, I’ll let these books introduce themselves, and hope you find some inspiration to add to your TBR.

Two centuries later a famous writer named Olive Llewellyn is on a book tour. As a bonus entry, I want to mention We Are All So Good at Smiling, the sophomore novel of Amber McBride, author of Me (Moth), which made my favourites list of 2021. Originally, this had the nr. 10 spot on my list, but unfortunately, publication has since then been pushed back to January of 2023.

If you want even more inspiration, be sure to check out all these authors backlists: as I mentioned, almost all of them are familiar to- and beloved by me. If you are curious as to what else might be coming in 2022, you can find a list of the books I’m keeping an eye on, sorted by release date on my Anticipated page.

That all brings us to the end of this post, and the end of 2021 as a whole. I wish all a happy and save New-Years Eve Celebration, and Happy Reading for the coming year. I will be back tomorrow to talk about my reading goals and TBR for 2022.
