It's been a rainy, cold and gloomy spring so far in the Netherlands and I for one am deeply yearning for some summer-sun... When the clouds and showers came rolling in again this morning, I decided to get myself in the summer-mood some other way: talking about some summer-books. I will do so in two parts: first by looking forward to my most anticipated new releases for the summer. Later this week, I will also talk about some of my favourite summer-books I've read.
Hopefully this list will help you get excited for the upcoming summer. Without further ado: let's get into the books.

The World Ends Here - Rory Power YA Horror Expected Release Date: July 2021 This one comes with a big "maybe" attached to it: according to Goodreads it's set to be released in July 2021, yet I can't quite confirm that date by any pre-orders, so I have my suspicions it'll be delayed. That doesn't take away from my anticipating of another Rory Power book, so I still wanted to include it here.
This 3rd person YA horror will feature (strained) LGBTQ-relationships, existential dread, mysterious eco-research and themes of climate change.
